Wool balances temperature, warms and does not smell. Because of these unique properties, wool products are making a comeback. But what is the difference between the wool of our fuzzy animals?
From a student project to a growing business
Our story
Steppenstrolch began as a student project. On his way home from Mongolia, Malte packed a backpack full of socks. From the first few pairs of camel wool socks, a business has grown over the years, which Malte founded with his friends Lennart and Markus in 2020. However, several obstacles had to be overcome along the way...
From an idea to the first order
Follow our journey
Steppenstrolch started as a student project. On his way back from staying abroad in Mongolia, Malte brings a backpack full of socks with him. Camel wool has kept him warm during the cold Mongolian winter, and his family and friends are just as excited about these extraordinary socks.
Over a drink on the town hall square in Aachen, the idea of founding a company was born, and that's when things really took off.
